Who was our client?

Sneaker Peeker is an international shoe shop. Tens of thousands of customers from different parts of the world purchase on the site every day. Such a large number of served customers means that even an increment of 1% of new users may increase the daily revenue generated on the website. Maximising the user experience is possible with a UX audit. What errors can be eliminated thanks to the audit? You can read more about it below.

Our proposal

We proposed to conduct a UX audit. Our experience shows that even the best-designed website may contain elements that discourage the customer from taking advantage of the offer. A large online shop, which is what Sneaker Peeker is, means a huge number of functions in the maze of which may hide fundamental errors that have a large impact on the conversion rate.

We performed the audit according to a standard procedure consisting of 4 steps:

  • data analysis,
  • competition analysis,
  • heuristic analysis,
  • cognitive walkthrough.

In the course of the analysis we assessed, among other things:

  • readability of the website,
  • operation of the available functionalities,
  • website structure and smoothness of navigation through the individual tabs,
  • practicality of the website,
  • degree of the site adaptation to the user’s expectations.

The usability audit revealed 37 errors requiring improvement. Inactive filters and lack of translation inside the website turned out to be the biggest problem.

Selected audit points

No possibility to select a pick-up point

When selecting a Parcel Locker delivery in the shopping cart, the user was not able to select a pick-up point. We recommended improving the Google map display so that the buyer could find the parcel locker by entering the city or street name.

Inactive filters in the product category
Inactive filters in the product category

The problem affected all language versions: despite the setting of filters, the user was shown unavailable products and all other goods – even those unrelated to the selected filter. We recommended repairing the filters so that the customers could search for a product with the parameters they are interested in.

Lack of icons for available login methods

The logos of the services that the customer could use when logging in to place the order were missing in the login window. We recommended adding the missing service icons.
